The last 2 days have been exciting and delightful! To start the recap, I’d like to go back to Friday afternoon, at about 3:15pm.
I was walking home from my ‘Cinderella’ Play rehearsal, and I was thinking about how great it would be if I got home, and my sash was on the doorstep. I was hoping this because, that night I would be the MC at the St. Albert Idol Semi-Finals, and my sash would tie the whole outfit together. When I reached my house, I was filled with joy as my eyes spotted the package that held my sash! I was so glad that I had it in time for my third event!
The competition was amazing, and surprisingly my feet did not hurt after 3 1/2 hours of wearing heels!! I was surprised by my confidence on stage, usually I have stage fright, but since the Miss Teen Alberta – World competition, I have seen my confidence growing.
Today (Saturday) I was at St. Albert Idol from 10:45am-5:00pm, and yes, after more than 6 hours of heels my feet did hurt! But it was definitely worth it, becoming more known in my community, and helping out with a well-deserving event, that makes a lot of people happy. After receiving many comments yesterday about my fantastic speaking on stage, my confidence was raised to an all time high! I would like to give a big thanks to Martha Livingstone, who asked me to MC this event, and organized it, as well as Talia Calvert, who was running the event today.
I also posted my first VerveGirl story which can be found here: http://www.vervegirl.com/indigo-love-of-reading-foundation-2/
It’s about my platform, the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation. I feel it’s really important to spread the message far and wide.
Thanks For Reading!!
