I am so happy to tell you all that today I attended my first event! I was the MC (Master of Ceremonies) at Vincent J. Maloney (VJM) Idol!
Schools in St. Albert hold a singing competition, in which the finalists move on to the Semi-Finals of St. Albert Idol, which is one of the events at the St. Albert Lifestyle Expo. The Lifestyle Expo runs from April 20th to April 22nd at Servus Credit Union Place . The contestants perform and are then narrowed down again, to the chosen ones who will move on to the Finals on the 22nd.
There were 6 students that were excepted into VJM Idol from the auditions, and they were amazing! The performances were so great to watch, as the singers are so talented! When I was waiting to get the results from the judges, I wasn’t sure who they were going to pick, because all of the contestants deserved to go to St. Albert Idol! That is why I was extremely excited to announce to the students of VJM, that for the first time, ALL OF THE CONTESTANTS were excepted into St. Albert Idol!! The look on the faces of the singers were priceless, you could tell they were surprised, and I was so happy for all them.
After the show, I was asked by one of the judges to MC the Semi-Finals of St. Albert Idol, and now I can’t wait until next Friday! That will be my second event, and I will definitely blog about it as soon as I get home!!
On another note, I would like to let you all know that yesterday (Wednesday April 11th) I was featured on the Front Page of the St. Albert Gazette! When I saw my face on the front page, I was overwhelmed. This has all been an amazing experience for me, and it’s only just beginning! Miss Teen St. Albert – World 2011, Vanessa Peynenburg was also featured in the article, giving me some advice, and talking about her Campaign.
Also, I was in this weeks edition of the St. Albert Leader, issued today, which I just received on my door step, and I AM THE FRONT PAGE!
I am so excited, and I feel just like the article says: “On Top Of The World“! I am going to use this feeling to raise awareness for my platform, the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation, and make a difference in my community.
I would like to Thank you all for reading my blog, and for your continuous support throughout this journey.
Chloe Fulton 🙂
